‘Secure Choice’ Would Provide Private Sector Employees Means for Retirement Security

Trenton – Private sector employees would be provided a means to save for retirement under the terms of legislation sponsored by Senator Joseph Lagana, Senator Troy Singleton and Senator Shirley Turner. The bill advanced from the Senate today.

Reforms Will Provide Greater Transparency To ‘Dark Money’ Groups

TRENTON – The Senate today approved legislation that would require independent advocacy committees to disclose their donors, bringing greater transparency to organizations that work to influence the political process. Sponsored by Senator Troy Singleton (D-Burlington) and Senator Linda Greenstein (D-Mercer/Middlesex), the bill, S-1500, would require the so-called “dark money” groups to make public their expenditures and donors.

CUNNINGHAM, CRUZ-PEREZ BILL TO END PRISON-BASED GERRYMANDERING CLEARS SENATE

Trenton – Legislation sponsored by Senator Sandra Cunningham and Senator Nilsa Cruz-Perez, which would require incarcerated individuals in State and Federal facilities in New Jersey to be counted at their last known complete address, cleared the Senate today.
